The Field Communication Lounge

 

Overview.

The Field Communication Lounge at HAnnover Messe 2013, creates a single exhibit area for visitors to learn about and experience the latest in field communication and integration technologies and discuss how they are used to deliver powerful results that may quickly improve a company’s profitability.

 

The Lounge’s co-sponsored exhibit allows leading suppliers to demonstrate their automation solutions fair visitors will have a central place to discuss the leading automation communication protocols and integration technologies--their advantages, applications and their relevance in practice.

 

Participating organizations incude FDT, Fieldbus Foundation, HART Communication Foundation, OPC, and Profibus & Profinet International.

 

The booth features several opportunities for members of these organizations to participate. They include the following:

 

Company Kiosk

Member Kiosks are essentially rented booth space for a member company. Members can rent from 1 to 3 kiosks and use that space to display products that use any of the technologies represented in the booth.

 

Technology Kiosks

Each of the participating organizations display technology demonstrations using technology kiosks. These kiosks are different for each organization for complete details of each kiosk see the technology kiosk tab and select the organization.

Company Kiosks

 

Company Kiosks allow members to display all products using the associated technologies in a single location and can be ordered in two types of stands. You will receive a panel / whiteboard prior to the fair. You can then design your own content to display on the panel such as graphics, devices, monitor, etc. The panel will be mounted on a pedestal / kiosk and your company logo will be displayed above. A surface (counter top) for placing a notebook, brochures, etc., and a lockable cabinet element with an integrated brochure holder are also provided. The price of each kiosk is €4,800.


Your company kiosk can consist of one or more boards. However, the maximum number of boards in a row is 3 and the minimum number of boards in a row is 2.

 

You will receive a panel / whiteboard prior to the fair. If you require new boards, please provide a shipping address during registration. You can indicate where you would like the blank board shipped during the registration process.

 

Please note: International shipment incurs high shipping expenses we would have to put down to your account. However, for 120,- Euro we can print and laminate your panel and organize shipment to Hannover Messe. All you have to do is provide high resolution graphics to us by March 21.

 

Company Kiosk Type 1

 

The first type of stand has a minimized profile. The display board area is 75 cm H x 120 cm W. The angle of the display board is 30°. The shelf in front of the display panel is 28 cm D x 95 cm W. The storage cabinet below the display board is 30 cm W x 45 cm D x 80 cm H. The frame holds a logo plate that is 80 cm W x 13 cn H. The frame is 250 cm high.
     

Schrägtafel / tilted panel as known from PIs trade shows in the past. You may re-use your panel from SPS/IPC/Drives 2012 or embedded world 2013 or any of our small trade shows 2012.

 

You will receive a panel / whiteboard prior to the fair. You can then design your own content to display on the panel such as graphics, devices, monitor, etc. The panel will be mounted on a pedestal / kiosk and your company logo will be displayed above. We’ll print these, so please make sure we have the latest logo.

 

A surface (counter top) for placing a notebook, brochures, etc., and a lockable cabinet element with an integrated brochure holder are also provided.

 

Size per tilted board, landscape format / Schrägtafel im Querformat: 120 cm wide x 75 cm high. You may re-use your panel from SPS/IPC/Drives 2012, embedded world 2013 or any of the four trade fairs in 2012 (embedded, Automatica, LogiMAT, Motek).

Company Kiosk Type 2

 

The second type of stand has an upright profile. The display board area is 120 cm H x 100 cm W. The desktop is 28 cm D x 120 cm W of useable space. The cabinet size is 27 cm D x 75 cm W. The overall height of the display is 230cm. The logo space is 20 cm H x 70 cm W. The space behind the display board is 25 cm. Power and cabling can be passed down through the pipes at the base of the display board or through a cord cover opening located at the base of the board mount and the top of the desktop.
     

You will receive a panel / whiteboard prior to the fair. You can then design your own content to display on the panel such as graphics, devices, monitor, etc. If you previously displayed in the FCL last year you may re-use the same panels.

 

The panel will be mounted on a pedestal / kiosk and your company logo will be displayed above. A surface (counter top) for placing a notebook, brochures, etc., and a lockable cabinet element with an integrated brochure holder are also provided.

Technology Kiosks

 

Each of the 5 foundations will sponsor Technology Kiosks to display different aspects of their technology or a specific application. As a sponsor, you can provide a device to be included in this type of display. Each kiosk is 120 x 120 cm (Image on left shows the 3 kiosk format). For a complete list of Technology Kiosk topics and displays, see below. If you do not require an individual company kiosk for your product, this option provides a cost‐effective means of displaying your product in one or multiple technology displays. Your products can be part of a technology demonstration that educates visitors on the unique capabilities of your products with regard to that display concept.

 

FDT Technology Multivendor Live Demos

The brand new FDT Group live technology exhibit will feature a functioning and integrated beer brewing and bottling line demonstrating the melding of factory automation and process automation using FDT technology.  Featured networks will include HART, PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION fieldbus, IO-Link and others.

Sponsorship kits for this exciting demo have already been sent out to FDT Group member companies.  Sponsorship fees for this new demo include exhibition at 6 fairs, including the Field Communication Lounge at Hanover Fair, in 2013 and  all details such as detailed costs, time lines, shipping information, commissioning days, etc. are included in the sponsorship kit.

Fieldbus Foundation Multivendor Demonstration    
     

The multivendor application of Fieldbus Foundation consist of six live FOUNDATION™ Segments, featuring three DCS Systems and a multitude of field devices and physical layer components. The fully functional setup allows demonstration of all situations which may happen during installation, commissioning and operation of a real process plant.

Diagnostics according to NE 107 and Control in the Field as well as performance under extreme conditions will be simulated. For planning purposes the new designate software planning tool will be iplemented.

HART Communication Foundation Multivendor Technology & Education Kiosk

The HART Communication Foundation multi-vendor, interoperable Technology Kiosks will educate users on the benefits of using HART-enabled devices to help them remain competitive by lowering their operating and maintenance costs. The live education kiosks will feature two main topics:

 

 

 

 

-  The WirelessHART Technology Kiosk includes  multi-vendor networks of    gateways, adapters and devices.

-   Features a live demonstration of the steps needed to configure a Wireless   HART device which then joins a working network .

-  Rotating equipment demonstration showing measurement devices    rotating on a wheel and sending PV  data to the gateway – without wires.

WirelessHART Kiosk

 

     

     

     

    -  Get Connected Kiosk – multi-vendor display of products that make it easy to Get    Connected to information available in HART-enabled devices.

    -  Display of the many products that provide access to installed or new HART    device information including multiplexers, remote IO, loop converters,
       HART-;enabled IO, WirelessHART and much more

  • -   Kiosk also educates users on the basics of HART Technology with live    demonstrations including; device configuration, multivariable measurements,    multidrop topology, device diagnostics and even a chance to see and hear the    HART Protocol.
 
    Get Connected Kiosk
     

Don’t miss this unique, cost-effective opportunity to include your HART-enabled products on these live multi-vendor displays which will be seen by hundreds of show visitors. Your products, displayed on one or both kiosks, will show the un-matched variety and selection of interoperable HART-enabled devices.

OPC

OPC Foundation    
     

OPC Foundation provides all about OPC Unified Architecture technology for the secured, reliable and manufacturer-neutral transport of raw data and pre-processed information from the manufacturing level into the production planning or ERP system. With OPC UA, all desired information is available to every authorized application and every authorized person at any time and in any place. This function is independent of the manufacturer from which the applications originate, the under laying fieldbus, the programming language in which they were developed or the operating system on which they are used.

Attendees visiting the OPC Foundation Technology Kiosk will learn all about OPC Unified Architecture technology for the secured, reliable and manufacturer neutral transport of raw data and reprocessed information from the manufacturing level into the production planning or ERP system. With OPC UA, all desired information is available to every authorized application and every authorized person at any time and in any place. PROFIBUS & PROFINET International – Technology Demos
       
The objective of the technology kiosks by PROFIBUS & PROFINET International is to provide information on how the technologies work and to show the diversity of manufacturers and products. The devices are either integrated in a live application or exhibited as non‐functioning devices in a gallery. This is a live-demo of your PROFIBUS devices. Devices need to be shipped to Siemens, Fürthin February as the whole demo needs to be engineered. Holger Rachut (holger.rachut@siemens.com) will provide further information, so make sure to include a suitable e-mail address.

We are planning on giveaways to be used in conjunction with the magic show. A marketing program plan is included for your review.

Co-Exhibitor

 

To make it easier for your customers to find your display, you may be announced as a co-exhibitor as part of your participation in the Field Communication Lounge. The trade fair organizer will charge a marketing fee which typically includes 2 exhibitor tickets, catalogue entry and access to further marketing activities offered by Hannover Messe / Deutsche Messe AG. This option is only available to sponsors of a company or technology kiosk. More details are available upon request.
